New Book Orders!
New book orders went home today! There are some awesome books available and many cost just a couple of dollars. Any books by Avi, Lois Lowry, or Mary Pope Osborne are great. Diary of a Wimpy Kid has been very enthusiastically reviewed by our class. There is also a great selection of science books this month.

Name Calling
Unfortunately, we are having a big problem with name calling in our class. I have talked to the entire class about this several times and personally to the biggest offenders. Please have a conversation with your child about how name calling affects kids. This would be a good idea whether your child is the victim, the perpetrator, or a bystander.
I care about all these kids so much and it breaks my heart to know that some of them are being harassed. I apologize to you and your family if you are being bullied. It is not something that should be happening at school and I'm trying to eliminate the problem. Please let me know if you have problems or would like to discuss anything.
