Biography Presentations

The kids' presentations were fabulous! All sorts of special guests came to visit our room this week.

• Several ancient visitors from Egypt (Cleopatra came twice and King Tutu).
• The inventors of the helicopter and airplane as well as a famous astronaut and Amelia Earhart.
• Singers including Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, and Kelly Clarkson.
• Lots of famous folks from history like Wyatt Earp, Jackie Robinson, and Helen Keller.
• Many more!

I've had lots of compliments from teachers about the posters displayed in the hallway. Great work everyone!

Mr. Thompson teaches PE

My father, Mr. Thompson, taught school for 39 years. He taught most every subject but spent the vast majority of his career as the head PE teacher in the district. Being retired, he doesn't get much of a chance to teach unless he visits me. I was happy to have his expertise and the kids enjoyed a different PE experience.

Halloween 2012

We celebrated Halloween with a big class party. After the costume parade through the school, the kids went to different stations in class. They ate doughnuts and treats, wrapped each other as mummies, raced in the candy corn relay, and made words from Happy Halloween.
